The Pathfinder Initiative is led by researchers at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and overseen by an international group of Commissioners. The initiative is funded by the Wellcome Trust with support from the Oak Foundation. Core partners of the first phase of research were C40 Cities, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), CDP, Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). Scientific oversight for The Pathfinder Initiative is provided by The Lancet Pathfinder Commission.
The Pathfinder Initiative is now expanding its network of partners to scale up research and action on climate and health. The Coalition on Climate Action for Health, hosted by Pathfinder, was set up to bring together countries, cities and organisations to work together to accelerate the transition to healthy, net-zero societies, using the best scientific evidence available.
